David Pitta- Inside Sales Innovator

This week I had the pleasure to speak with a true inside sales innovator, David Pitta- inside sales business executive with BrightTALK. I’m always looking for new web conferencing companies and found BrightTALK takes webcasting to a new level. They are building a robust community of business thought leaders who are building their knowledge portal of business content.

I had requested more information from their site and received a call from David who diligently followed up. Finally he cold called me and caught me live one Tuesday afternoon so I gave him a few minutes. In our brief chat, I realized David was not your average inside sales “dialing for dollars” rep, he had taken the time to read my blog, understand my business and asked me a few pointed questions about my marketing strategy and direction. We moved on to my favorite topic- inside sales and David has been in the telesales world for 12 years. He peaked my interest when he said that inside sales is no longer about outbound but inbound marketing and being visible and utilizing social networking platforms as lead generation is essential.

David sounded so knowledgeable, so consultative and so resourceful that I kept asking him if he was the owner or founder of BrightTALK and he said no but he owns his territory and approaches it as a thought leader and consultant. He has his own audio channel and has his own blog.  This is a true inside sales 2.0 warrior.
