Cubicle Chronicles: Productivity and motivational tips for inside sales warriors. By Josiane Feigon.

Happiness rules!

Our culture is a bit obsessed with finding the path to true happiness. Everyone is searching for the magic formula.  If you run an Amazon search on “happiness,” you’ll get 21, 392 results for books in the happiness category. It seems like everyone is searching for the magic formula.

Since I’m a nonfiction girl, I own a few happiness books of my own. Daniel Gilbert’s Stumbling on Happiness makes the point that happiness isn’t always what we imagine it to be, and that we tend to exaggerate its significance. I’ve also read The Art of Happiness written by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. He focuses on calming the mind, meditating, and looking inside yourself for answers instead of trying to chase down happiness outside yourself.

But if you want to get a taste of happiness in just about nine minutes, you must check out the brilliantly creative Ted Talk 2011 delivered by designer and filmmaker Stefan Sagmeister on the 7 Rules for making more happiness. If you are seeking a little more joy, I guarantee you will find some here!
