Just in case you’ve been busy trolling around with your No-Po’s, it’s time to fire them. 
After all, they are not the ones who will ever pull the trigger and make anything happen for you. They hold big titles, love your product, stall each week and absolutely protect their powerless turf. They lack influence and remember No-Po stands for No-Power, No Potential, No Purchase Order and No Go.
We must let go of any false hope we have that a No-Po will actually help us. Face it, they just have not been performing too well for us. Let’s fire them…….how you ask? Here are three ways:
1. Get out of the No-Po Zone- it’s like parking in the 10 minute zone- you must only park for a short time and be prepared to move. No-Po’s are very necessary but after you get your necessary information, it’s time to move on. Stop calling them, stop asking them if you can have their bosses name, stop creating more proposals and competitive analysis for them. And stop forecasting deals with them.
2. The 2×2 Rule- when you work an org chart within a company, call around your No-Po to confirm how little power they actually have. Call up, down, scross, wider and deeper and find news people to talk to- don’t hang out with the same contact.
3. Recycle your data- the No-Po’s helped you gather important information- take it with you and use it with others to confirm, reconfirm and continue to dive deeper and probe.
