Let’s Talk- Privately

Okay, I’m officially on Facebook. I don’t know who said what and how it all clicked- it was somewhere between the Twitter and LinkedIn conversation that I realized I’ve got to get on Facebook. So there you have it- me up on Facebook with 6 friends to start with and telling the world about ME.

And my daughter, wouldn’t even throw me a bone. Finally her boyfriend convinced her to just “friend your mom” and she reluctantly agreed. Even my niece, when I called to ask her dumb questions, I could tell she was secretly hoping I wouldn’t totally embarass her and put her baby pictures up on her wall- or is that my wall?

I find it fascinating what people are doing in private and what their public persona is all about. For example, I like to prospect in private. I get nervous when others hear me. Actually I’m not really alone when I prospect- I have my attitude angels around me. There’s the positive ones who say, go for it there’s lots of business to be had even in a bad economy. And the negative angel comes around and leads me to surf and find the Tech layoffs: The Scorecard and convinces me to not even bother anyone and to just stick with updating my Facebook profile- which I did.
