San Francisco Nostalgia

I was rushing to my appointment late Friday afternoon across Union Square.  I still get nostalgic, even after living in the city 30+ years, when I walk through certain parts of the city. The hustle and bustle of Union Square always reminds me of the holidays, shopping bags, glamour, tourists and SF legends. Each street, alley, block has it’s share of regulars- you expect to pass them or see them.

Sure enough, I ran into the San Francisco Twins two women, Marion and Vivian Brown, who dress exactly the same, talk the same, walk the same and have been marching along the streets of San Francisco for the past 40 years. They stop to chat with anyone, they laugh, sing a song or let someone video them.

So here they are last Friday, right in front of me with their leapord coats, smiling. I quickly grabbed my Blackberry and they posed for me.
