Seconds That Changed Lives in 2011

Remember this years’ events, stories, and scandals? Some are silly, some are fun, and a few have significantly changed the fabric of our lives.

Some news is the kind that makes you always remember where you were when you first heard about it. Like the text I received from my daughter telling me that Amy Winehouse had died, or the phone call I had with a friend one night who ended the conversation with,  “I guess you’ve heard that Steve Jobs passed away today.” It was definitely The Year in Crazy — but we are still here!

Here are some things that changed lives in 2011:

1. Top Social Media Blunders of 2011 As social media continues to rule our lives, we realize know dangerous pressing the “send” key can be. An insensitive or inaccurate tweet can quickly make it around the world before any apology or explanation can even be typed.
