Why is Dreamforce 2011 happening again, just 10 months after the last one in December? Because social changes are trumping the cloud! Or, as Benioff put it in this morning’s keynote, “We were born cloud, now we are reborn social.”
I knew we were in social land yesterday when the first session I checked out was about SFDC competitive Apps and Robert Scoble was one of the judges. We know everything is moving fast — conferences seem to come closer together, people continue to get more followers, and content grows. Still, the adoption curve is sluggish in some areas.
Check out this Infographic from the Social Business Report and you will see that San Francisco ranks #1 among the top 25 cities to adopt social media while Washington ranks #20. Among the social jobs, sales is ranked #13 while recruiting ranks #1.
