What do inside sales warriors do when they hear “No Budget?”

small-banner1Are inside sales warriors still getting shut out?  Seems like everywhere you turn you are being shut out. Automated phone systems never redirect you to a live voice, phone menus and directories don’t connect you to the person you are trying to reach and it’s an accident when someone answers their phone live- only to tell you they are “stepping into their next meeting” or “just picked up because they thought it was someone else” or “on a tight deadline and will call you back” or lots of other reasons to prove this is not a good time.

So when it is finally a good time, you get to hear they have no funding and no budget or you realize you’ve been chasing the wrong prospect?  How do you rebound?   1. We have a catch phrase of our own here…”It’s not the money”. It never is. Folks will respond to the right message delivered in the right format. Two of the greatest traits to getting your foot in the right door are empathy and creativity! We tend to do more research today than we did 17 years ago to connect with the right person. A creative caller, and a killer value prop can get through any blockade.
