Cubicle Chronicles: Productivity and motivational tips for inside sales warriors. By Josiane Feigon.

What’s in the smallest box?

My life is in transition right now- too much to think about and too many people in my life to update on my progress. Sat down this morning and wrote some FAQ’s on my life- do you think that is too impersonal? it’s a perfect way to address all answers at once- it’s like a job aid only this would be a friendship aid.

I think the toughest part of being in transition is providing answers to questions you really have no answers to. And when you don’t have answers, you are left with more questions, more opinions, more projections, more wasted time. When one (or that would be me) is in transition there is a sorting process of choices. What’s behind door #1, #2, #3 and how do you arrive at those choices. Are you panicked, excited, focused, greedy, lost.?

And as we choose the different boxes to hold our life for awhile- we may not necessarily choose the biggest one. Perhaps the smallest one holds what is most dear to your heart and the biggest one has too much stuff you don’t need.

Sometimes salespeople are real quick to ask for the biggest territory, the largest named accounts, the biggest discounts to help them sell and with that comes laziness and a sense of entitlement.  Reach for less than what you think you need instead of more and you can always make it grow.
